Apple announced that its first virtual WWDC will start on June 22 this year and that it will be free for all developers through its Developer application and its Developer website. The information was revealed in a post in the Newsroom and gave some more details about this year's programmer conference that is being impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Cupertino, California – Apple today announced that it will host its annual World Developer Conference starting June 22, on the Apple Developer app and the Apple Developer website for free for all developers.
The company also announced the Swift Student Challenge, an opportunity for student programmers to show their love for coding by creating their own Swift playground.
Now in its 31st year, WWDC20 will be an opportunity for millions of creative and innovative programmers around the world to have early access to the future of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS, and learn from Apple engineers as they work to build application experiences that enrich the lives of Apple customers around the world.
