In the face of the crisis that we are experiencing due to COVID-19, we realize that the material starts to be scarce in Hospitals. To make up for the lack of resources, Tim Cook announced that Apple will donate millions of masks to the healthcare system in Europe and the USA.
This is a gesture of solidarity already shared by other companies, such as Xiaomi, which also donated masks to Spain and other affected countries.
This is a moment of unity, in which we all have to collaborate and do our part so that, as the famous phrase of the rainbow says, we all get well.
Thus, there are some news that show the solidarity of some companies and entities. For example, Xiaomi donated masks to Spain and Portuguese polytechnics also joined forces to develop ventilators for hospitals.

Apple is also showing its sympathetic streak by contributing resources that are lacking in hospitals.
Through its official Twitter account, Apple CEO Tim Cook, announced that the Cupertino company will donate millions of masks to healthcare workers in Europe and the U.S.
Our teams at Apple have been working to help source supplies for healthcare providers fighting COVID-19. We’re donating millions of masks for health professionals in the US and Europe. To every one of the heroes on the front lines, we thank you.

The announcement was made yesterday, and Cook says the Apple teams are committed to helping with resources all health professionals who are in the fight against COVID-19.
This statement confirms what previously, that day, the American vice president, Mike Pence, had said:
The president and I heard literally and directly from Apple that Apple will donate 2 million industrial masks. You will also work with our administration to distribute them.
It is gratifying to see this wave of solidarity around the world, at a time when there are no competitors, but cooperators with a single objective: to beat the Coronavirus.
