We used Gmail since the beta version many years ago, when an invitation was required to use it, remember? Since then, it has become the e-mail of millions of people, both for domestic and professional services. So today we bring you an easy tip, which many people are unaware of: having multiple email signatures.
At this time when communicating over the internet is a necessity, your email can say more about you, your activity or your company. Personalize your signature.
The tip we leave now is simple, but only in March 2020 is that Gmail introduced a new way to allow customers to have multiple email signatures. It took some time for the function to be distributed. Signatures can be changed so easily, which is very practical. Thus, we can have multiple signatures within the same account, not least because we deal with personal matters with more informality and other more formal matters with greater impersonality.
How to activate a subscription in Gmail
So, starting with the principle. First let's open our account Gmail and look at the top right. As you can see, there is an icon like this:
As we can see, in this cog wheel there are several options, one of which is what we want: Definitions. Click let's go inside the action.
Within the Definitions we have the first tab: General. Well, this is where our desired functionality is, but it has to scroll down to the Signature group.
Now nothing is simpler than clicking on this button that says + Create new. We will be asked to give the signature a name, so that we can distinguish them later. I chose two signatures, one personal and one professional.
I start by giving the name Pplware first to build the professional signature. Then just put the text we want on the right side, as shown in the box in the image below, and we can even insert images. You will see that it is easy.
After we finish placing the text, we can immediately add another signature, returning to the + Create new button. Then do the same and draw how we want the other signature.
So we create one and then we create the other. As you can see, there are two options that can be parameterized immediately, so when they went to open a new email, a signature is already there, mainly for the type of email they use most, new or replies.
I suggest you spend a few minutes there, as there are several options that can be parameterized to appear in automatic.
Now, with the two created, we scroll down to save the changes. Don't forget this step, without it … nothing done!
Use multiple signatures in emails
So, created signatures, we can go to the beginning, to our email, and we will create a new email. As you can see in the image, there is an icon, a pen, under the new email box.
If you use this icon, you can change your subscription right away, depending on the subject. I remind you that you may have important contact information in your signature, but do not exaggerate to put too many images or text of notices, they will only make your message heavy and unpleasant for those who receive it.
