Covid-19 is representing a major challenge for brands in the way they manage their business and the relationship with their customers.
With its stores closed, Huawei is now offering another three-month warranty for those customers whose equipment is due to expire in the coming weeks.
Nowadays, we face a very difficult period for everyone. With Covid-19 in great growth, this has been a challenge not only for the general population, but also for brands.
With people at home, which results in widespread consumption of the various services available, we have seen some movements by companies to ensure the full functioning of their products.
We speak, for example, of Netflix, YouTube or Amazon that limited the quality of streaming in order to ensure that the transmission continued to be made without breaks.
However, there are also companies in the physical world adapting their services to ensure that the customer is not harmed. With several devices ending the warranty in this period, Huawei announced that it will extend the warranty period.
Huawei equipment in end of warranty with extended term 3 months
On twitter some publications have recently appeared stating that Huawei is contacting its Spanish customers, whose equipment would end the warranty in the coming weeks, in order to announce the extension of the warranty period by about 3 months.
This announcement is due to the fact that the population is in quarantine and has no way to activate the guarantee on time if needed.
Since Huawei stores are also closed in Portugal, we contacted the Chinese brand in order to see if this procedure was also in force in Portugal.
According to the brand's response, Huawei has also adopted this measure in Portugal since it intends to put the customer first and does not want it to be harmed by this problem.
Thus, Huawei customers who would see the warranty on their smartphones or other equipment end in the coming weeks, will now have an extended deadline until June to activate the assistance.
