Millennium BCP updated its application for iOS now allowing what it had promised a few days ago. So, after installing or updating the app, you can configure the Apple Pay service on your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch … among others.

This type of payment method increases in Portugal the various contactless systems that are already available. More customers will now be able to pay with a look…. basically!

What is Apple Pay?

Apple Pay is the modern payment of the current world. The idea of ​​the Apple payment system is to allow the user to replace their wallet or physical credit / debit card with wireless purchases (via NFC).

For security, Cupertino's company added transaction authentication from the company's biometric sensor, Touch ID or Face ID.

Millennium BCP already allows Apple Pay

Today, BCP updated its application and started making payments via Apple Pay available.

According to the institution, through its app, version 6.6 comes with a long-awaited novelty. That's right: Apple Pay is already on the Millennium App! You can now add your Millennium cards to Apple Wallet and pay with your iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or Mac. Easy, fast and secure.

But there is more: you can also cancel and replace your card for loss or theft and simulate how much you can ask to buy a house. In addition, you no longer need to enter the PIN again when you leave and re-enter the App for a short time.

So now, in addition to Crédito Agrícola, Revolut, Monese and N26, we will also have this service via Millennium BCP.

How can we add the Millennium card to Apple Pay?

Add a card on iPhone

  1. Go to the Wallet app and tap the Add button.
  2. Follow the steps to add a new card. Watch this demo to see how it works. If you are asked to add the card you use with your Apple ID, cards on other devices, or cards that you recently removed, select them and then enter the security codes for the cards. You may need to download an app from your bank or card issuer to add a card to your Wallet.
  3. Touch Next. The bank or card issuer will check your information and decide whether you can use the card with Apple Pay. If the bank or issuer needs more information to verify the card, you will be asked. Once you have that information, return to the Wallet app and tap the card.
  4. After the bank or issuer has verified the card, tap Next. Then, start using Apple Pay.

Thus, Apple extends its service to more customers in Portugal. So now it's time to use and take advantage of more technology that you can control with a touch… or two!
